The primary and standard dogi/uniform color will remain as white at our Dojo, specific to the student ranks. However, in keeping with, and respecting Hanshi Conley's (Red Dragon) Kenpo (Okinawan & American) roots, as we present Shorin Kenpo Karate; instructor and assistant instructor staff (brown & black belts) only, are allowed to wear a black gi. Student ranks (white thru purple) will remain wearing a white gi. Stipulation: staff must all own and wear a white gi for formal Dojo functions and/or outside functions, unless otherwise waivered by the Group Senior Instructor(s).

Additionally, and this reflects the policies of Hanshisei Kise's Matsumura Seito Federation, the "Salt 'N Pepper" combo. White jacket/black pants, will be permissible, and can be worn by Dojo Black Belt Assistant Instructors.

All Black Belts may wear a white gi jacket with black gi pants ("salt n' pepper"). Group Senior (Head) Instructors, 5th Dan and up, can wear a black gi jacket with white gi pants.

During Jeet Kune Do training in the Adult classes, the traditional "Karate Look," can be dropped for either just a t shirt and gi pants with indoor footwear, the traditional Chinese look: Frog button jacket, pants, with indoor footwear.
